Future Hopes

Career Hopes
On leaving university, I hope to continue working within the fashion magazine industry as I have previously done in my work experience. Within that, I hope to work as a stylist, like those I worked alongside. The job entailed deciding which clothes were to be displayed within the magazine as well as styling models for photoshoots for the main fashion features. As well as styling, I would also hope to write inspiring fashion articles to go inside the magazine alongside photo displays, in order to inform readers of the latest trends and ,aking them suitable for everyone. I hope to also work at a variety of magazines, again like I have done when carrying out work experience as this would give me a greater insight into the varying ages, styles and lifestyles of varying readers as all magazines appeal to different markets. In terms of the styling side of my career, I would also very much love the opportunity to move into television or film where I would hope to work within the costume, dressing celebrities for on screen appearances, however I understand this is a very sought after career choice so I will have to show my styling talents in magazines first in order to earn a good reputation as a stylist. |
Continuation of Charity Work
As previously mentioned I have started to take part in a small amount of organised charity events as a way of raising money for the chosen charity. As these events are enjoyable as well as helping a good cause, I aim to continue and take part in more events and possibly with a successful career within the fashion industry, hope to arrange charity events. I shall begin this aim immediately by holding my very own tea and cake morning, at which I shall bake all of my own cakes and sell these to friends with all proceeds going to a chosen charity.

Travel Visiting different cities is something I very much enjoy. Trips are always exciting and it is great to experience different countries and their cultures. I especially enjoy observing the fashions and tasting the local food! So far I have been fortunate enough to visit quite a few cities, with my favourites being:
Although I have established these as my favourites so far, I am hoping to visit many more cities in the future and add to my list of favourites. One of the places I currently most wish to visit is Berlin as I have heard it has become a fashionable city with lots of interesting history to find out about whilst there. |
Open My Own Cake Shop! In the future, I hope to turn one of my favourite hobbies into reality by opening my own cake shop. As I enjoy baking cakes, and have been told they are very tasty, I would like to own my own shop, possibly in London where people can come in for a slice of cake and a cup of tea. Cake shops like this have a relaxing atmosphere and so provide an opportunity for friends to meet and chat while enjoying a delicious cake. The cake shop would also be a great opportunity to put the Business and Management skills I have learnt whilst at school and university into practise. I would certainly be confident about doing this as Business Studies has been one of my favourite subjects throughout and I have managed so far to achieve good grades. |
